Exhibit: "PART I: The Era of Seclusion"
“2020 has been a big collective experience of new challenges and changes — a time of testing limits, taking breaks, changing course, trying new things, making distant connections, taking chances and seizing opportunities. Simultaneously, it has been a time of struggle, hardship, grief and loss.” -the visionary projects

"The Unfolding" signifies the internal turmoil evoked by navigating the difficult reality of a global pandemic. The artwork involves several layers of paint, featuring glossy, illustrious turquoises and yellows in the foreground, scraped away to reveal the whispers of purples and blues underneath. Complex and multifarious, this color contrast mirrors the challenges of life during COVID-19, but also reminds of the simple joys that have persevered throughout – family, friends, or the beauty of nature. "The Unfolding" reframes the classic battle between light and dark through the lens of the pandemic, reminding the viewer of both the obstacles overcome and the rebuilding of a brighter future; creating an atmosphere not only of apprehension, but of untapped potential. - Tamiko Braun
