Vernisage "Unfolding" Highlights

After 16 months of extended lockdowns in Munich, Germany, I think we were all ready for our in-person event!

Thanks to so many of your for your support and interests. We had over 80 guests for our Opening night and for Obacht!Haidhausen Open Studios over 350 visitors that weekend. I am very excited to have released for the first time to the public my Introspection Series along with a sneak-peak to the Let there Be Series. Many new artworks have found new collectors and homes, I am very grateful. Here’s a glimpse of the summary of our Event.

Exhibit: "PART I: The Era of Seclusion"

“2020 has been a big collective experience of new challenges and changes — a time of testing limits, taking breaks, changing course, trying new things, making distant connections, taking chances and seizing opportunities. Simultaneously, it has been a time of struggle, hardship, grief and loss.” -the visionary projects

So honoured and happy that one of my newest artwork has been selected to be a part of the Visionary Projects’ group exhibition with 51 artists from across the world.

“Part I: The Era of Seclusion” is now live until November 10th! Out of thousands of pieces submitted, the Visionary Project selected 54 artworks created in 2020; and will spend the next 40 days of this exhibition highlighting every creator in the process. This is what artists from around the world have been creating this year, in 2020, please visit the Link and hope you enjoy their curation of many lovely artworks. Artworks Listed are priced to sell:

‘The Unfolding’

"The Unfolding" signifies the internal turmoil evoked by navigating the difficult reality of a global pandemic. The artwork involves several layers of paint, featuring glossy, illustrious turquoises and yellows in the foreground, scraped away to reveal the whispers of purples and blues underneath. Complex and multifarious, this color contrast mirrors the challenges of life during COVID-19, but also reminds of the simple joys that have persevered throughout – family, friends, or the beauty of nature. "The Unfolding" reframes the classic battle between light and dark through the lens of the pandemic, reminding the viewer of both the obstacles overcome and the rebuilding of a brighter future; creating an atmosphere not only of apprehension, but of untapped potential. - Tamiko Braun

Cristina Countas & TAM!k0 Art

Weaving the Magic-Artist Synergies.

I was frantic working in my studio when out of the blues I received a Skype call from Cristina.  I was spending days in and days out, long months on end prior to an upcoming exhibition, working endlessly on my 5 Element Series.  It was something so deep within me I was very eager to put on canvas visually how I was feeling inside about metamorphoses or how I found "nothing is constant but the change".  Well, from what I'm writing, you can believe it then when I was at first totally oblivious to what Cristina was telling me (maybe it was all the mixed media fumes getting to my head)... After I zoned back into and onto this planet, Cristina then told me what she had scecretly made just for me.  I couldn't hold back the tears.  A few days laters, just as she promised, I received then her surprise pre-birthday package containing one of the most amazing hand made gifts I had ever received:  a felted silk scarf with superfine Australian merino woven shawl is so lovingly handmade by Cristina Countas in her atelier in Cypress. She had taken 2 of my paintings she liked and creatively transferred the colors and look into another medium!

Wearing her work and being wrapped in such beautiful colors, textures and patterns, I feel like ART itself, it makes me feel proud and special. Thank you so much Cristina Countas at www.cristinacountas.com for helping me make my Opening Night on 22.Nov.2013 at my Baden-Baden Exhibition extra special!

About Cristina Countas' Designs:  All work is hand crafted using only the finest quality materials, superfine Australian merino wool, 100% pure silk chiffon, silk paj, silk organza and silk tops. The timeless elegance and originality of the collection is enhanced by long lasting quality (each item comes with an aftercare label).
